I used the Interactive Gear Template Generator located at woodgears.ca to make printed paper patterns which were attached to the plywood then cut out with a bandsaw. The driver gear has 16 teeth and the driven gear has 8 teeth. This gives a 1:2 gear ratio. These gears will be used on the prototype of a new automata designed by muurtikaar. ImageMagick's convert utility and a bash shell script were used to make the stop-motion animation.
